Executive Director
The volunteer Executive Director serves as the chief administrator and public-facing leader of Heart of North Georgia Pride (HONGA), working under the direction of the Board of Directors to advance the organization’s mission of building, supporting, and celebrating LGBTQIA+ community throughout North Georgia.
This role provides operational leadership, strategic coordination, volunteer management, fundraising support, and community representation while ensuring the organization operates in alignment with its bylaws, board policies, and nonprofit obligations.
The Executive Director is an unpaid volunteer position and serves at the direction of the Board of Directors.
Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator supports the mission of Heart of North Georgia Pride (HONGA) by recruiting, organizing, training, and supporting volunteers for organizational programs, events, outreach efforts, and community initiatives.
This volunteer leadership position helps ensure volunteers feel informed, welcomed, appreciated, and connected while supporting safe, inclusive, and successful community programming throughout North Georgia.
The Volunteer Coordinator is an unpaid volunteer position and reports to the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors.
Fundraising Chairperson
The Fundraising Chairperson leads and coordinates fundraising efforts for Heart of North Georgia Pride (HONGA) in support of the organization’s mission, programs, events, and long-term sustainability.
This volunteer leadership position works collaboratively with the Board of Directors, Executive Director, committees, sponsors, donors, and community partners to develop ethical, inclusive, and community-driven fundraising initiatives.
The Fundraising Chairperson is an unpaid volunteer position and serves under the direction of the Board of Directors.
Event Support Volunteer
Event Support Volunteers help Heart of North Georgia Pride (HONGA) create safe, welcoming, organized, and successful community events throughout North Georgia.
This volunteer role assists with event setup, guest support, logistics, activities, vendor assistance, cleanup, and general event operations. Event Support Volunteers play an important role in creating positive and inclusive experiences for attendees, vendors, performers, sponsors, and community partners.
This is an unpaid volunteer position.
